Operated under Amerisun Inc. and headquartered in Itasca, Illinois (with regional corporate footprints in Shelton, Connecticut), PowerSmart is a direct-to-consumer and big-box retail outdoor power equipment (OPE) and utility machinery manufacturer. Operating as a direct, value-engineered competitor against legacy landscaping equipment giants (such as Toro, Honda Power Equipment, Ryobi, Briggs & Stratton, and Generac), PowerSmart delivers residential yard care and emergency power systems at competitive direct-from-factory price points. The brand focuses on balancing internal combustion engine (ICE) reliability with expanding 20V/40V/80V lithium-ion cordless ecosystems.

From an electromechanical architecture, powertrain engineering, and product portfolio standpoint, PowerSmart segments its catalog across four primary seasonal and operational categories:

• Lawn Care & Mowing Systems:

  • Gas-Powered Mowers: 170cc–209cc OHV 4-stroke engines powering 21-inch to 22-inch steel-deck push and rear-wheel self-propelled mowers featuring 3-in-1 capabilities (mulching, side discharge, and rear bag collection).

  • Lithium-Ion Cordless Mowers: 40V and 80V brushless motor platforms engineered for reduced decibel output, instant push-button start, zero emissions, and vertical space-saving folding storage.

• Winter OPE & Snow Blowers:

  • Single-Stage Snow Throwers: Compact electric and gas units tailored for clearing residential driveways and sidewalks with light-to-moderate accumulation (up to 8–10 inches).

  • Two-Stage Heavy-Duty Gas Blowers: 212cc–302cc engines equipped with serrated all-steel augers, high-speed discharge impellers (clearing paths from 24 to 28 inches wide), electric key/push start, LED work lights, and multi-speed drive transmissions (forward/reverse) capable of tackling heavy, wet snow and icy plow ridges.

• Portable Inverter Generators & Standby Power:

  • Closed-Frame Inverter Generators: 2,000W to 4,500W whisper-quiet inverter models with pure sine wave outputs (total harmonic distortion < 3%), safeguarding sensitive laptops, medical devices, and smartphone circuits during off-grid camping or emergency blackout events.

  • Dual-Fuel & Open-Frame High-Wattage Generators: Heavy-duty portable units engineered to run on gasoline or liquid propane (LPG) for extended runtimes during emergency power outages and residential transfer-switch integration.

• Yard Cleanup, Pressure Washers & Compact Tools:

  • High-pressure electric and gas pressure washers (ranging from 2,000 to 3,500+ PSI), 20V/40V handheld leaf blowers, string trimmers, cordless chainsaws, and garden tillers/cultivators.

Operationally, PowerSmart manages centralized logistics across North America, distributing through home improvement retail partners (including The Home Depot, Lowe's, and Amazon) alongside its proprietary DTC storefront. DTC fulfillment provides tracked ground parcel dispatch for handhelds and generators, alongside LTL liftgate freight delivery for heavy two-stage snow blowers and riding systems. Equipment is backed by a standard 2- to 3-year limited consumer warranty, domestic spare-parts fulfillment, and technical support.
